Star Trek: Starbase 777 - khitomer-history-museum

Otto was in the museum after his shift looking at some of the displays, writing stuff down on a PADD, taking notes from descriptions of artefacts. He turned the PADD off and went to go and look at some of the Klingon displays mumbling to himself about some of the inaccuracies in the displays “Hmmm”

Thol walked into the museum, still wearing his duty uniform. He had just finished a shift and wanted to see the new addition to the Klingon displays. Much of his work revolved around the species so it only made sense that he understood their history and culture. He saw Otto taking notes and wondered who exactly they were. It was clear that they were around his age and greatly interested in the subject but that was all. Thol saw no issue with at least introducing himself. "Hey there, I'm Thol. Can't help but notice your focus on the exhibit."

He'd look up from the displays and over to Thol "Otto, a pleasure to meet you Thol, yes I studied Klingons after classes in the academy, that is why I am focused on the Klingon exhibit" He'd put the PADD into a pocket and fixes his shirt and walks over to Thol holding out his hand for a hand shake.

Thol nodded as Otto spoke, taking the information in. They mentioned the academy, meaning that they were Starfleet. Interestingly they also mentioned studying Klingons. The political scientist wondered if Otto was some sort of fellow social scientist. "Very cool. So what do you do on the station?"

“I’m a helmsman or shuttlecraft pilot, it’s my first day here, command division” He said to Thol looking around at all the Klingon displays and weapon like a bat’leth and dk’tagh. In one of the displays it had a hologram of the bridge of a Klingon vessel with the bridge crew, the captain and first officer

"Oh, welcome to the station!" *Thol remembered how his first day was and hoped that Otto's was easier. Their presence at the museum was a good sign but only meant so much. Otto was likely still trying to figure out what was happening around * "If you need help with anything let me know, this is my first placement and I'm pretty new myself."

"Thank you, I'll let you know if I need any help yeah, also cool your first placement too." He'd reply to Thol, continuing to look around at the displays.

Thol nodded and turned away, seeing that he was being more of a nuisance than an aid. He looked at a few of the nearby exhibits and took them in, remembering why he had arrived in the firstplace.
